At Nexus Staffing, we execute diligent testing and screening for all applicants.
Our standard procedures include the following:
Legal Work Eligibility
All placements have been screened and are legal and eligible to work in Canada. Our recruiters are trained to obtain and monitor the following documentation:
- Copy of SIN card and Government Issued Photo Identification is attached to all applications.
- Copies of Work Permits (when necessary) are obtained and filed with applications.
- Work Permits are monitored for expiration dates.
- Our diligent enforcement of this policy protects your company from employing workers that are not eligible to work in Canada.
Skills & Aptitude Testing
Our thorough application process generally takes our candidates approximately one hour to complete. The process includes the following elements:
- Copy of relevant certificates are obtained and filed (Forklift Licences and other designations).
- Licences and designations are monitored for expiration and validity.
- Math and Measurement testing is conducted and assessed.
- English and Grammar testing is conducted and assessed.
- Personal interviews are conducted and work history is assessed.
- Goals of the candidate are assessed.
- Candidates are matched according to client suitability and entered into Nexus database if the candidate meets or exceeds our hiring standards.
